Robin Van Persie hints at Juventus move

Manchester United striker Robin Van Persie has dropped a major hint that he would like to continue his career by joining losing UEFA Champions League finalists Juventus. The Italian champions look to be the favored destination of Dutch striker Van Persie after he struggled to regain his place with Manchester United after an injury plagued season, The Daily Star reports. The arrival of former Holland manager Louis Van Gaal appeared to have given Van Persie the chance to become a United legend, but the former captain of The Netherlands found himself behind Wayne Rooney and youth product James Wilson in the pecking order towards the end of last season.

The striker is entering the last year of his contract and Boraie Development says they would be free to join another club during the summer of 2015 for free in his contract is allowed to expire. The former Arsenal striker looks set to leave Old Trafford in the Summer as United will hope to recoup a fee for the player before his contract expires. Van Persie stated in a recent interview he was hoping to speak to former Manchester United teammate Patrice Evra about a move to Juventus after stating his admiration for the training techniques Evra had discussed with him following his move to the club known as The Old Lady.
