George Soros to regroup and retool with donors to ‘take back power’

After cutting back on his donations in the recent years, George Soros has shown himself to be determined to aid Hilary Clinton and other Democratic candidates. According to Federal Election Commission records, Soros, who in recent years scaled down on his contributions has committed more than $25 million dollars to the cause.

Even though the 85-year-old Hungarian has been consistent with his donations to Democratic causes, 2016 has shown itself to be a year where the stakes were exceptionally high. Even before the current President-Elect became the nominee, the hostility towards many of the causes that George Soros cared most about and has supported for many years made it clear that it was time to act.

This is not to say that George Soros was the only major financial contributor to Hilary Clinton. There are other elite liberal donors who are also stroking big checks. It has to be said however that few have the pacesetting effect of George Soros.

Just as in the prior election, Soros applied a very precise giving pattern and used his funds to aid various liberal groups.

After the shocking election results were announced, George Soros and other big-money contributors that spent a considerable amount of money trying to elect Hilary Clinton are gathering at the Mandarin Oriental hotel in Washington for a three-day, closed-door meeting on Biography to regroup and retool and come up with a different strategy to use the big-money left to fight back.

It is not unlikely that during this three-day conference many liberals will reassess their approach to politics. One topic on Time that will no doubt be discussed extensively is the future role of the Democracy Alliance, which is co-founded by Soros.

Even though the influence of the DA has been significant over the past years, the need for a reassessment and change of strategy has clearly shown to be required.

Whereas Soros was known to only periodically attend meetings of the Democratic Alliance and is rarely a part of the proceedings, the fact that there is a Tuesday morning appearance scheduled at http://www.nytimes.com/topic/person/george-soros is a good indication that he is not dialing down his commitment to opposing the current President-Elect.

The conversation with George Soros is one of the many spontaneous changes after the election results and the new reality facing liberals. Even though the outcome of the election was not what Soros strove towards, it is clear that he aims to continue his support to Hilary Clinton and other Democratic candidates and causes.

Fighting Corruption with Helane Morrison

When you are dealing with business and politics, it truly takes a special person to uphold ethics and to stand up for what is right. There is a large amount of corruption that is widespread in the majority of the corporations and businesses that we as citizens interact with on the daily basis. Helane Morrison has taken it upon herself to address these things that are of a huge detriment to business, which directly and indirectly pose a huge problem to the lives of each American, and it is through these types of people that we may finally be able to reach a great point in the economy and business world.
There are far too many companies out there that operate in any which way that they feel is conducive to their overall revenue, throwing out business ethics entirely. The worst part is the fact that there are so many people that are fully corrupt, or at least look the other way when this type of thing transpires, which eventually leads to a huge amount of corruption in business. Helane Morrison has dedicated her life of work to combat this type of corruption and to minimize the amount of corruption that takes place in the business world. This type of work is absolutely essential when you consider the fact that a huge amount of people flat out do not trust major corporations anymore, do not trust the banks, and would rather that they keep their money in cash reserves in some cases. There is no denying the fact that we in the United States have been through periods where the banks crashed, which was led people to be cautious. Since 2008, when there was a huge economic crisis, there has been an even greater concern.
The bottom line is that there needs to be people that are fighting for ethics in business, that want to end the corruption that takes place that puts all of us as citizens in a worse place, and really wants what is best for the average American. The sad truth is the fact that there are very few people who really care about this type of thing in business, which is why it is so great that there are people out there like Helane Morrison. If we want to move forward and have a strong economic system in place, we need to trust our banks and our major companies ethics, which is what Helane is fighting for.

Koch Brothers Weigh Options to Take Out Trump

Conservative impresario and wealthy industrialist Charles Koch recently spoke with Vanity Fair about his disillusionment with politics in general and the state of the Republican presidential race. Along with his brother David, he was responsible for helping to raise approximately $400 million through their donor network for the Mitt Romney campaign, which resulted in a loss to Barack Obama in 2012. By 2016, Charles and his brother along with their allies pledged nearly $900 million for Republican opponents in the general election to the top Democratic candidates, Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders. However, they still need to work out a calculated plan because of a misjudged candidate and serious contender, Donald Trump.

Normally, the Koch network fulfills its duty to help install a Republican into the White House during every presidential election. However, that goal has been thwarted this election season because of Trump’s lead in several Republican primaries. Instead of waging a war against a formidable Democratic opponent such as Clinton or Sanders, the Koch brothers are now considering whether to start a campaign targeting Trump, even if it rests alienating a few party members who support the candidate. Koch representatives stated that the plan to move forward with an offensive against Trump depending on how the early primaries turn out.

Trained at M.I.T., Charles Koch is an engineer who has devoted his life to two specific goals which are to expand his family-owned conglomerate and disseminate the gospel of a free and open market. He is a person that rejects party labels and describes himself as a “classical liberal” with the quest to change the political structure of the US. Back in the 1970s, he sought out to demolish the two-party political system by supporting the insurgent Libertarian party. He later returned to the Republican Party with the hopes of introducing more of a libertarian worldview.

Trump’s campaign continues to show that it is a force to reckon with and the Koch network is taking it seriously. The Koch network has no intention to support Trump’s campaign unless he becomes the nominee. One official even said they could see the network not participating in the presidential election at all if it turns out that it becomes a Trump versus Clinton matchup. The Koch’s have no love for any Clinton Administration after experiencing a traumatic period during Bill Clinton’s presidency as they fall off regulators. Since there is still uncertainties, the Koch network must make a carefully planned decision on whether to take on Trump before it is too late.
